This elegant apartment, located on the second floor in an 18th-century building, is ideally situated on rue Jacob, a sophisticated street lined with designer boutiques, art galleries and interesting shops in the heart of Saint Germain des Prés.
This street has been called Jacob since 1836, due to an altar consecrated to the patriarch by Queen Margot, in the gardens of her mansion, rue de Seine, in 1603.
Elegant and animated, with trendy cafés and starred restaurants galore, the Rue Jacob area is the best of St. Germain des Prés, the place where everyone would like to stay. It is few minutes' walk to famous market street rue de Buci with its displays of produce, flowers and food items. Also nearby is the oldest church in Paris, St.-Germain-des-Prés with its interesting mix of architectural styles dating from the sixth century.
It is within walking distance of the Luxembourg Gardens, the Louvre, and the boulevard St. Germain is close by with its celebrated cafés such as Les Deux Magots and the Café de Flore. The nearby Marché de Buci and Marché St. Germain provide specialist food shops and there are also wonderful boulangeries and good supermarkets in the neighborhood.
